Noble Jump 2019 - Dutch and German armoured vehicles cross into Poland for NATO exercise

07 Jun 2019 15:43

Synopsis

Dutch and German armoured vehicles move across the border from Germany to Poland, escorted by the Polish Military Police, Zagan Section. It’s all part of exercise Noble Jump 2019, which is designed to test NATO’s ability to deploy the land component of the NATO Response Force, specifically the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF). Four NATO Allies are involved in the training – Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and host nation Poland. The NATO Response Force (NRF) is a multinational force made up of land, air, maritime and Special Forces elements. Smooth and rapid troop and equipment movements are vital part of NATO operations. At the Brussels Summit last year, NATO Allies pledged to strengthen their ability to deploy forces throughout the Alliance and beyond, and to shorten border crossing times to within five days by the end of 2019. Exercises like Noble Jump 2019 are important part of this effort. Noble Jump 2019 runs from 24 May to 14 June. Footage includes Dutch and German armoured vehicles crossing the German/Polish border, escorted by Polish Military Police from Zagan, as well as Polish Military Police vehicles preparing to assist in road movements and driving in convoy.
