Belgian troops training in Lithuania
Clearing trenches and storming buildings, it’s all part of the training soldiers from Belgium recently undertook at NATO’s eFP Battlegroup in Lithuania.
Synopsis
Over 100 Belgian soldiers are deployed at NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup in Lithuania. Some have been taking part in live-fire training, trench clearing and close quarter battle (CQB) training, which involves weapons firing at close range.
This footage shows infantry soldiers from the First Carabiniers Prins Boudewijn - Grenadiers of the Land Component of the Belgian Armed Forces. This is one of the units deployed with the Belgian troops who arrived in January 2021 and will stay for six months. All soldiers were operating within a self-contained bubble in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines for the NATO eFP Battlegroup.
