Synopsis
Over 6,000 troops from NATO Allies and partners are taking part in an exercise in the Balkan region and Central Europe.
Immediate Response 19 is co-led by the Croatian Armed Forces, Slovenian Armed Forces and U.S. Army Europe. It’s designed to build multinational, regional and joint readiness, while improving interoperability between the land forces.
The exercise runs from 10 May to 7 June 2019 at various locations throughout Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia.
The nations taking part include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Shots include soldiers patrolling in the forest and conducting an assault with armored personnel carriers, plus soundbites from Croatian Captain Vlato Klaric, Mechanized Guard Brigade.
